Overview: We are seeking a BI Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will transform large datasets into easily interpreted visualizations for key decision-makers, investigate and improve data processes, and support data governance principles. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in business performance analytics and process improvements within a cutting-edge environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform large datasets into easily interpreted visualizations for key decision-makers
  • Investigate, identify, and improve existing processes for data capture, transformation, delivery, and various automations
  • Support Data Governance principles, controls, and policies to maintain high data quality, security, and compliance
  • Mentor the Analytics Team, managing workloads, training, and projects
  • Identify and develop reports to highlight key performance indicators for the business
  • Understand and interpret existing data sources across the business
  • Identify opportunities to optimize or improve existing data sources
  • Design and develop dashboards for reporting critical performance indicators
  • Continuously challenge and improve data technology to ensure scalability
  • Engage with senior management to ensure reports meet stakeholder expectations
  • Work with the business to build new data capture and ETL processes
  • Use knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and other infrastructures to create and optimize datasets
  • Train the Analytics team in report building, ETL, projects, and improvements

Process Improvement and Internal Automations:

  • Understand core operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Identify processes that can be improved with data and analytics
  • Quantify potential savings or value from process improvements
  • Prioritize process improvement opportunities based on business value
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and spec automated solutions

Data Integrity and Validation:

  • Review and oversee continuous ETL of datasets, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop training and improve processes for robust data capture
  • Identify and implement improvements to data input processes
  • Address frequent data input errors with management and propose fixes

Other Ad-Hoc and Specialized Analysis:

  • Use various analytical tools and methods for ad-hoc analysis for key stakeholders
  • Recommend and help deliver the latest technology and tools for data and insight delivery
  • Mentor and train the Data and Analytics Team

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A commercial understanding with an appreciation for the information required by management for critical decisions
  • An inquisitive mindset with a desire to understand processes in detail and tackle inefficiencies
  • A logical and structured approach to work, with the ability to distill complex situations into clear plans
  • An understanding of how technology can automate processes
  • Awareness of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouse, and Machine Learning technologies
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining IT data architecture (e.g., Azure, SQL Server, ETL tools) and reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to produce clear graphical presentations and data visualizations for stakeholders
  • Experience working with large datasets and interpreting data for key stakeholders
